I’m excited to write and share my experiences as a corps member in a grassroots community for the past year.
Initially, I felt discouraged, fearing my goals and aspirations were slipping away. However, a divine intervention occurred when I encountered Prikkle Academy, also found that they have a Makerspace.
Prikkle Academy played a crucial role in making my time in the grassroots community meaningful. It provided a platform for growth and development in various areas of interest.
While I was already interested in graphic design, I lacked proper direction and struggled with client interaction and the concept of volunteering to improve my skills. Prikkle Academy brought these aspects to light.
I’m particularly grateful to Miss Tiamiyu Ololade for her insistence on introducing me to this incredible group. I am truly thankful to God that I followed her advice.
I also want to express my appreciation to Mr. Jamiu Balogun, a brother, friend, and true leader. His selflessness and dedication to the growth and development of every academy participant are truly inspiring. May God bless you, sir.
Finally, I want to thank all the other corps members and colleagues who supported us in various ways, helping us achieve great milestones together.
Serving in this grassroots community has been a truly wonderful experience. All thanks to God Almighty for a successful year.
